Like the Wind Magazine
Written Feature

Commissioned by Like the Wind, this essay examines the relationship between endurance running and my studio practice.

The article traces the emergence of movement as method within the work, reflecting on how daily running began to reshape my approach to painting and drawing. Repeated routes, altered pace and heightened sensory awareness are considered as compositional forces influencing structure, rhythm and material decision-making.

Blending reflective writing with documentation of process and paintings, the feature positions running not as subject matter, but as fieldwork and generative framework.

This publication marks the first formal articulation of the research underpinning what has since developed into Movement as Method.
