Up & Running Trail Series

This commission responds to a newly developed trail race route, translating terrain, elevation and spatial rhythm into abstract form.

Developed in collaboration with a local race organisation, the project began with direct engagement with the route. Running the terrain functioned as primary research, informing a limited edition print capturing the physical and structural character of the course.

The visual language of the print subsequently informed the design of the race medal, embedding the artwork within the material culture of the event.

This project extends my ongoing investigation into movement as methodology, positioning endurance routes as sites of spatial and artistic enquiry.
