Safe to say we are big fans of Claudine O’Sullivan, not only is she a brilliant Illustrator but also an exemplary member of the AOI. It’s been a privilege to work closely with her on negotiating contracts for a number of her career defining jobs to date. Her strong sense of self worth and confidence in her craft and business is inspiring not only to us but also her fellow Illustrators. So much so that we’ve had her as guest speaker on 2 of our Creating Your Own Success panel discussions, including one at OFFSET 2018 in Dublin. The quality, colour and imagination in her illustration is undeniable. Her work has been shortlisted for the World Illustration Awards in 2018 and won in 2017. In just a few short years Claudine has made a considerable contribution to the Illustration industry and our community. She’s a joy to work with and we can’t wait to see what’s next for her!

It was a pleasure developing this course on Botanical Illustration at the RA with Claudine. Organising this course with Claudine was a dream as she is such a passionate and reliable artist and tutor. Both her work and her teaching are full of confidence and skill and it’s been a joy seeing her teach. Over the weekend, she did a fantastic job keeping every participant engaged and motivated and as a result everyone produced phenomenal final works!
